A Review of Durability Issues of Reinforced Concrete Structures Due to Coastal Soda Residue Soil in China

Soda residue soil (SRS) is a man-made engineering foundation formed by soda residue; it mainly distributed in coastal areas China. SRS rich variety of corrosive salts, among which the concentrations chloride ions are about 2–3 times that seawater. These highly concentrated migrate and diffuse reinforced concrete (RC) structures built on through multiple transport mechanisms. However, current research durability RC exposed to environment has not led publication any reports literature. may be classified analyzing quantitative relationships contains. In this paper, deterioration due saline-soil China discussed, advances structure under such circumstances reviewed. Our findings show environment, especially when result SRS, significant influence structures, greatly threatening buildings. A series effective measures for enhancing saline soil, including improvements strength, reductions water–binder ratio, addition mineral admixtures fiber-reinforcing agents, etc., could provide vital at risk SRS. Vital issues must investigated regarding proposed, mechanism prediction model ions, dominated (Cl?), materials, long-term performance deduction process components, design theory, enhancement measures. The paper some clear exploration directions development basic theories environments go way making up gap environments.
